This study has investigated the role of youth policies in promoting economic prosperity in Africa, as governments seek to address the challenges facing youth, including a lack of access to a high-quality and relevant education, high rates and long durations of unemployment and underemployment, a high incidence of chronic poverty, political disengagement, and health and environmental risks. The study’s salient findings and recommendations: Improve the quality and scope of data of youth in Africa; Integrate youth and economic growth; Mainstream youth policies and develop effective youth policies.
