The future of medicine
Take this tour of medicine's future with some of the trailblazing doctors charting its course. Once you've seen a transplantable human kidney created from a 3D printer, almost anything is imaginable.

EMCDDA webinar: Preparing for the future — applying a foresight approach in the drugs field
This webinar marks the official launch of the EMCDDA’s foresight toolkit for the drugs field entitled How to run a trends workshop in the drugs field. The event also aims to promote a foresight approach and increase foresight literacy among the EMCDDA’s stakeholders and to take stock of current initiatives in this area and reflect on possible ways forward.

How Will Be The Future Technology Of Healthcare In 2050?
From how it can grow, to how it can cure, and how the human race needs to prepare for what's coming, join us as we show you the future of healthcare via the year 2050.

Our Home Will Be The Hospital Of The Future? - The Medical Futurist
People usually depict amazing technologies and really spectacular devices when they are asked about the future hospitals. But what if the majority of care could be provided in our actual homes by getting wearable and different kinds of devices to our bathroom or bedroom and measuring what needs to be measured. So let’s see what would be needed to make our home the new clinic, the hospital of the future.

The Future of Hospitals
The costs of poor health could reach 15% of GDP in advanced economies by 2050. Leading experts discuss the problems facing modern healthcare systems.

Health Predictions: the future of healthcare
In the latest of our Predictions series, we take a look at what the future of healthcare will look like.

The Future Hospital 2050: Innovation in surgical care
Rapid advances and convergence between medical and digital technology are redefining surgery and the future operating theatre. From hybrid operating theatres equipped with medical imaging devices enabling pioneering and minimally invasive surgery, to open-plan style ‘barn’ theatres and robotic-assisted surgery, there are new opportunities to rethink the way we design surgical settings. A panel of global experts will explore how design innovation and new technology will converge to deliver surgery in the future.

The Future Hospital 2050: Innovation in critical care
The pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges for healthcare, but it has also paved the way for transformational change in preparedness, response and recovery. Expandable and flexible bed and staffing capacities, safer ICU design, more effective triage, digital transformation and adoption of AI, and new approaches to communication with patients and families are all changing the way critical care services and facilities are being planned and designed. An expert panel will imagine what critical care medicine and the settings in which it is delivered will look like in the future.

The Future Hospital 2050: Innovation in emergency care
Before the pandemic, emergency care services across the world were under increasing pressure, yet many patients could have been better treated in community settings, and in many instances at home. The reduction in crowding in emergency care during the pandemic presents an opportunity for the reconfiguration of services and settings, including greater use of virtual care. Innovative ideas like Wolfson Economics Prize finalist, The Smart ED, an airline-style pod design that reimagines the emergency department, will be discussed, as an expert panel explores the drivers that will transform the design of urgent and emergency care settings and services in the future.

Doctors, apps and artificial intelligence - The future of medicine
Artificial intelligence is changing health care. It promises better diagnoses and fewer mistakes and all in less time. While some associate AI with a frightening dystopian future, many doctors see it as a source of support.

Frontiers in Medicine 2022: The Future of Medicine Is Here
Frontiers in Medicine gathered Stanford Medicine's scientific and philanthropic communities in the historic Frost Amphitheater to explore a future of medicine that is both innovative and human-centered. A future that harnesses AI and big data to transform how we deliver care. A future where knowledge of human biology at a cellular, molecular, and genomic level heightens our ability to treat and cure precisely. A future that is here today—at Stanford Medicine.

The Future of Medicine: CRISPR, Drug Prices & Gene Therapy
What Happens Next examines the future as we confront massive technological transformations in central aspects of daily life. In this episode, we focus on water, food, work, driving, meat, and fact.

The Future of Medicine is Predictive | Stephanie Campbell | TEDxBristol
Medicine is about to become predictive. But are we ready for the game-changing opportunities that are opening up for us in the AI healthcare revolution?

The future of medicine | Aaron Ciechanover | TEDxTelAviv
Prof Ciechanover present as a “tourist that happened to peek into in a discovery that has been here since the beginning of time”. A discovery for the whole of humanity.

Health++ The Future of Medicine • Karen Otte
Science fiction series, such as Star Trek, promised us medical devices like the tricorder, which can diagnose any disease within minutes. I don't know when this will be available (they are working on it!), but I would like to show you some of the current developments in medical technology. The influence of technology is everywhere and the health and medical industry is no exception. We live in a time where gaming devices can be used for the treatment of anxiety.
