This Handbook, a product of the Africa Infrastructure Country Diagnostic (AICD), was prepared by the World Bank in partnership with the African Development Bank. The Handbook consolidates the methodologies developed under the AICD with the long-term purpose of guiding data collection, processing, and dissemination of infrastructure indicators across African countries. It is, therefore, based on five years of experience of developing, collecting, and analysing infrastructure indicators and, as such, it represents a tried and tested approach.
