This Medium Term Plan (MTP) identifies the key policy actions and reforms as well as programmes and projects that the Grand Coalition Government intends to implement in the period 2008-2012. It is the foundation for the first phase of implementing Kenya Vision 2030, Kenya’s new, long term policy blueprint. The overall objective is to realise a higher and sustainable growth of the economy in a more equitable environment, accompanied by increased employment opportunities. The MTP incorporates the activities identified in the Report of the National Accord Implementation Committee on National Reconciliation and Emergency Social and Economic Recovery and the country’s One-Year Economic and Social Recovery Plan, all of which target a quick economic and social recovery, following the destructive aftermath of the December 2007 General election.
