West Africa is the most vulnerable regions to climate chnage worldwide. The often distraous impact of climate variability and the extreme events over the past 30years is a striking illustration of this vulnerabilty.It is threfore urgent that desion makers and the general public in west Africaa be fully sensitised on the climatic challenges facing the region and actions to be taken to enhance the regions level of prepardenness inoredr to cope with the predictable impacts of climate variability and the associated extreme events.
